Paid Time Off (effective January 1, 2013)

Midwest Professional Staffing appreciates the dedication and hard work of our temporary employees. One way of showing our gratitude is our PTO Certificates. For every 1,000 hours a temporary employee works, they will receive one PTO Certificate which can be turned in to Midwest Professional Staffing for a full 8 hours of regular time pay. The 1,000 hours do not require perfect attendance, but there cannot be a break in employment for more than 60 days. This certificate can be used for a sick day, vacation day or holiday. Time off must be approved by manager/client & staffing manager. It will not be approved within the last week of your assignment.

401(k)
Midwest Professional Staffing offers 401(k) to its temporary employees who are at least 21 years of age, have worked with Midwest Professional Staffing for at least 1 continuous year and have completed at least 1,000 hours of work.

Direct Deposit
Direct Deposit available to all temporary employees. This can be set up at any point during employment and can easily be cancelled or transferred as needed.

Electronic Timesheets
Electronic timesheets are readily available and can be completed, saved, emailed and printed from any computer by accessing our website at www.MidwestProfessionalStaffing.com. This is a great way to reduce paper waste!

Healthcare Coverage
Midwest Professional Staffing is proud to offer ACA (“Affordable Care Act”) compliant health coverage to our employees, including part time employees.  We are offering two plans:  MEC (Minimal Essential Coverage) and a more comprehensive United Healthcare plan. Both plans are ACA compliant and fulfill your requirement for having health insurance.  They both also offer COBRA coverage after you are no longer employed with Midwest Professional Staffing.

  • All employees (part and full time) are eligible to enroll in the MEC plan the first of the month following their first payroll check.  This is a prevention only policy with the benefit of one or two no-cost doctor’s appointments per year (depending on plan chosen) and a prescription discount card.  Coverage is available for dependents and premiums are very affordable.
  • All employees who average working at least 30 hours per week are eligible for a more comprehensive United Healthcare plan the first of the month following sixty days of employment.  Three levels of coverage – Gold, Silver and Bronze – are available.  Coverage is available for dependents.  Premiums must be quoted individually.
