Jim Bruno

Managing Partner

Jim was born in Baltimore, Maryland and he received his degree in Finance from Towson University. Shortly after college Jim was transferred to Des Moines with Massey Ferguson and held several positions ranging from finance to marketing. Jim has spent the last 20 years partnering with banks throughout the Midwest with their staffing needs and helping candidates with new opportunities. Jim has recently served as the Ethics chair for the Iowa Association of Staffing Professionals. Currently,  Jim splits his time as Managing Partner of Midwest Professional Staffing and recruiting in the banking industry.

John Blanchard

Partner

John is a native Iowan and graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Accounting. He started his career as a CPA with McGladrey & Pullen in 1991 providing audit and tax services. After 3 ½ years in public accounting, John has been providing specialized recruiting for large, medium and small businesses throughout the Midwest. John has been an active volunteer with the Iowa Society of CPA's, serving on the Career Awareness Committee.

Joe Steer

Partner

Joe was born and raised in Burlington, IA and is a graduate of the University of Iowa. He started his career with Deloitte and Touche, LLP, and four years later joined Burlington Northern Sante Fe Corporation as the Manager of Financial Reporting. Since 1997 Joe has been a recruiter serving companies of all industries and sizes throughout Iowa. He is an active member of the ISCPA and mentors accounting students at the local colleges. Joe brings a consultive approach to recruiting.

Keelie Fisher

Staffing Manager

Keelie is an Iowa native with a sales and marketing background. She graduated from Kirkwood with degrees in Marketing Management and Apparel Merchandising. Keelie recently joined the Staffing Industry after working in the Commercial Insurance world. In her spare time, you can find Keelie at the gym, enjoying the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

Melissa Gray

Staffing Manager

Melissa grew up in Johnston, Iowa. After moving away for several years she has returned home with her family. Melissa received her Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Indianapolis. She enjoys working with clients and helping them find that “perfect” fit. Melissa is an Ambassador for the West Des Moines Chamber and enjoys connecting with new people. Melissa enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Michael Jontz

Staffing Manager

Michael joined the recruiting team in the fall of 2013 after graduating from Central College - majoring in Business Management. During his time at Central he contributed to the success of the baseball team and volunteering during his free time. Michael has been a high achieving addition to the team, and continues to learn and grow with the company. During his free time Michael enjoys being active outdoors, watching sports, and spending time with friends and family.

Kylie Ladely

Staffing Manager

Kylie was born and raised in Knoxville, IA. She attended the University of Iowa majoring in Psychology and graduating in 2009. Kylie worked for 5 years in the banking industry, but has always wanted to get into staffing and recruiting. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her baby boy Wesson and her husband, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Faith Morrow

Staffing Coordinator

Faith was born and raised in the Quad City area and after 1 ½ years of traveling from the Quad Cities to Des Moines she decided to move to Des Moines where she has lots of family. Faith has 14 + years in the staffing industry in many different roles and at times holding two titles. These include Program Administrator/Employee Relations, Program Expeditor and Relationship Manager. Faith worked onsite at one of our state’s most admired businesses, working alongside HR Managers and Hiring Managers in order to fill job requisitions in a timely manner. Faith also had the opportunity to build relationships with employees as she would make travel arrangements and process expense reports for them as well as answer questions regarding benefits/vacation time and payroll.

Teagan Brown

Teagan joined the Midwest team as a recruiter in the summer of 2015 immediately after graduating from Augustana College where he majored in Business Administration with minors in management and marketing. During his time at Augustana he played football while also trying to give back to the community whenever possible. When not working, Teagan enjoys staying active and spending time with his family and friends.

Chelsea is from Urbandale, Iowa. She attended Drake University and graduated with a degree in Marketing. Following graduation Chelsea has spent most of her career in the Marketing Administration role, but has made a recent move to recruitment. Chelsea enjoys helping people find their career path and always meeting new people. In her free time Chelsea enjoys spending time with her husband and son, watching Iowa State Men’s Basketball, reading, and hanging with friends.

Michele is from Johnston, Iowa. She attended Grand View University and graduated with a degree in Marketing. During her time at Grand View she was on the Softball Team and took on the role as one of the top pitchers. Michele enjoys meeting new people and helping them find their career path. In her free time Michele enjoys spending time with family, playing sand volleyball, going on runs, and hanging with friends.

Amber Owens

Payroll and Benefits Coordinator

Amber grew up in Council Bluffs, IA and moved to Des Moines 3 years ago. She graduated from Bellevue University with a degree in Management of Human Resources and previously worked in HR in the home health industry. She is excited to expand her experience in payroll and benefits. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, reading, crafting and watching movies.  

Kimberly Hochstetler

Kim grew up and lived in Ankeny until 1989, and then moved to Little Rock, Arkansas for fifteen years. In 2004, she and her family returned to their home state settling in Winterset, Iowa. Kim joined our team in January of 2013 and enjoys being part of the staffing industry. She finds that no two days are ever the same and enjoys the chance to meet and help people. In her free time, Kim enjoys spending time with her family, grandkids and friends.

Liz Wilkinson

Liz is a Hawkeye native from Iowa City, IA and moved to Grimes, IA in July, 2014. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a Management and Entrepreneurship degree in 2012 and has worked in the fitness and financial world before making the switch to the staffing industry. She loves doing yoga and spending time with her family, friends and son in her free time!
